The Diff'rence

1. Best Coast- The Sun Was High (So Was I) : Best Coast is one of my favorite bands right now (if not my number one). Bethany Cosentino's story and quest is one that brought her back to her home of Los Angeles, California after only spending several months at school in New York City. This decision was the ultimate catalyst to the creation of Best Coast, starting with Bethany Cosentino and Bob Bruno. Cannot wait til they come through Chicago. Bethany also has an awesome cat named Snacks.




2. The Smith Westerns- My Heart : This just happens to be my current favorite by The Smith Westerns (you know how you'll have an album and then through a long period of time you'll have a certain fixation with each song? maybe that's just me, anyways) If you're from Chicago, chances are you've probably heard of The Smith Westerns by now. They've recently been touring with Girls and have recently secured Colby as their new drummer ( his girlfriend Sandy Kim has done some documentation of both tours on her blog.) The Smith Westerns will be back in Chicago April 10th at Schubas.



3. Erykah Badu feat. Lil Wayne- Jump Up In The Air And Stay There : Just one of a couple of newly released tracks from Erykah. This is probably my favorite, but if you haven't, check out Window Seat.
